InterAction is the largest U.S. based coalition of international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) with Members working around the world in low- and middle-income countries, fragile and post-conflict states, and emerging/growth economies. Member organizations are large and small, secular and faith-based, with a focus on people living in the world’s most poor and vulnerable places. The U.S. public, foundations, and governments support the work of our member NGOs that collectively invest and manage more than $15.4 billion a year. Position Objective
The Senior Manger, Membership & Standards oversees InterAction’s efforts to recruit, retain and engage members. This position is responsible for approximately $2.7 million of revenue generated by dues and supervises one staff position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Vice President, Membership & Public Engagement in executing overall membership strategy based on the organizational strategic direction and how potential members would benefit from membership in InterAction.
- Host high level meetings wih prospective members.
- Manage dues calculation and collection. Work closely with Finance & Administration on membership dues invoicing and tracking.
- Collect, organize and analyze membership data.
- Produce reports that identify membership trends and make targeted recommendations.
- Support communications with and between members.
- Draft, edit and distribute correspondence with member staff and leadership.
- Build upon InterAction’s brand strategy by developing membership materials and web site content.
- Conduct new member webinars communicating how best to engage with InterAction and utilize member benefits.
- Support the Vice President, Membership & Public Engagement in managing the bi-annual Self-Certification Plus process including identifying/hiring temporary support, management of workflow, performance evaluation and feedback.
- Assist the Senior Director with the needs and management of the Membership & Standards Committee.
- Develop presentations for Board and CEO Level meetings.
- Participate in various internal committees and task forces.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- A minimum of seven years of professional experience in a related field (Nonprofit Management, Business Administration)
- Experience with a large, complex, dues-based coalition, alliance or association
- Extensive experience working with a CRM (Salesforce experience preferred)
- Ability to forecast revenue
- Proven experience in cultivating internal and external relationships
- Proficient at triaging competing priorities, and unafraid to seek guidance when needed
- Ability to interface with all staff and member levels including CEOs
- Strong organizational skills including strong office/clerical skills and experience
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sharepoint
- Excellent speaking, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Sense of humor a plus plus
Start Date April 1, 2020
Salary $80,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package
