· Conducts desk study and home visits to refugees applying for Social Transfer Assistance (Social Safety Net Programme (SSNP) and Emergency Programmes); collects socio-economic data to determine eligibility for assistance, and conducts periodic site re-assessments for active recipient cases in accordance with Relief Services Instructions (RSI) or applicable emergency assistance instructions;
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date information on families on receipt of social transfer assistance, documentation, data entry/mode fictions on the relevant database se, completing social study reports including rejected , approved, and closed cases;
· Identifies/refers refugees facing protection risks or in need of additional social work assistance/ intervention to Area Social Work Supervisor (ASWS);
· Recommends - as per instructions for short-term emergency in kind / cash assistance- eligibility for families in crises after conducting initial site assessment , and completing all related work process ;
· Follows-up the timely delivery of approved cash and/or in-kind assistance to eligible families and follows up on families that failed to collect their due assistance;
· Implements/participates, as directed, in surveys and studies in the refugee community to analyze socio-economic trends;
· Participates, as requested, in workshops, meetings intended to improve professional knowledge and skills relevant to his/her field of work and transmits such acquired knowledge to other Relief Workers/ newly recruited Relief Workers;
· Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
