(A) Supervises the implementation of instructions, manuals and procedures governing eligibility and registration activities. Makes revisions and proposes amendments, where necessary, to such instructions, manuals and procedures for improving the quality of services rendered to Palestine refugees;
(B) Acts as the principal custodian of the Agency's registration records on refugee families in the field to which assigned, making sure that such records are up-to-date and valid for internal and external use, as necessary;
(C) Manages, supervises and provides technical guidance and support to Eligibility and Registration staff members located in the main office, and to such staff members in the area/camp offices through regular visits thereto;
(D) Prepares and verifies the required statistical data on registered refugees in the Field for Field and HQ use (for compilation of the Agency’s Quarterly Registration Statistical Bulletin, for example) for both regular and emergency programmes;
(E) Verifies refugees' eligibility for UNRWA services, in general, and co-ordinates with Field Relief Services Officer on matters relating to assistance given to refugees registered under the special hardship category, in particular. Co-ordinates with Field Social Services Officer on registration matters required for social service activities;
(F) Deals with the verification of documents related to unregistered refugees and complicated cases related to amendment of family and individual particulars;
(G) Prepares and discusses with CFRSSP or his/her Deputy the Eligibility and Registration Division’s biennium budget;
(H) Follows-up on issues raised by Information Systems Division at HQs and prepares relevant correspondence and reports, as required; and
(I) Performs other duties as may be assigned
